We don’t see things as they are,
we see things as we are.
My approach
That which has been wounded in relationship must be healed in relationship. For your true- self to emerge it must be witnessed…
I am trained and licensed as a relationally focused, grief & bereavement certified, trauma-informed narrative therapist, credentialed in story work and psychoanalytic supervision. THAT IS A LOT OF {psychological} WORDS. What the heck does that mean?
It means that I believe true healing isn’t just about behavior modifications—it’s about deep transformation through safe, honest relationship & wit(h)ness.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection. In our sessions, I’m not a silent observer with a clipboard—I’m fully present with you, engaging your internal world with compassion, curiosity, and care. I listen not only to what you say, but to what your emotions are trying to reveal. Together, we explore the deeper “why” beneath your patterns, pain, and longings. I approach every part of your experiences & interpretations with curiosity- without judgment, especially the parts you may have hidden or suppressed.
In this safe and sacred space, no part of your story is too much. I hold space for the parts of you that have been silenced, suppressed, or exiled—so you can move toward integration and wholeness.
As trust builds, we’ll begin to trace how your past experiences, attachment patterns, and coping strategies shape how you move through life today. We’ll explore how pain and protection have woven themselves into your relationships, identity, and beliefs about yourself. This isn’t about surface-level symptom relief—it’s about liberating your authentic self. We’ll bravely face the sources of both your deepest pain and greatest joy.
I see therapy as an invitation to return—return to your essence, to your voice, to your strength. In our work, we’ll gently dismantle shame, guilt, and hiding by engaging your full humanity with honesty and hope.
I am not afraid of your grief, confusion, trauma, or longing. I believe in the transformative power of deep therapeutic work, and I hold a posture of enduring hope. This is not a space for fixing—but a space for healing, for becoming, and for imagining what a life of authenticity, connection, and inner freedom could look like.
In our therapeutic space, we’ll break down walls of guilt, shame, and hiding by understanding the deeper meaning, rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms. This allows for profound insights and personal growth. By giving space to all aspects of your human experience, without repression or fragmentation, we create the opportunity for you to become whole. In this space, you’ll reconnect with your truest self, allowing you to love yourself and others more freely.
Just as our deepest glory must be held, so too must our wounds. You don’t have to carry them alone anymore.
My counseling office is not a space for “fixing”, but rather healing… and empowering you to a future of lasting and sustained relationship with yourself, others, and your community. Imagine a life lived in authenticity.
I am not afraid of hard, and I hold a perspective of hope.
